Supply Chain Industrial Engineer
A supply chain industrial engineering consultant who will spend time helping clients improve their current operations though creative problem solving, analytics, and long-term relationship building. A focus on consulting and investing in small to medium sized businesses in high-growth. Your goal is to work directly with our clients to find opportunities for efficiencies in both daily operations and long term strategy. We take a vested interest in our clients, often through financial means, to ensure we are all aligned to the same goals and to showcase our belief in each client's long-term success.
Our methods are spread across several verticals throughout Operations, often in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Data Analytics. We like to build deep relationships with clients across several projects so that we can work together on holistic improvements for continued success. Our results are data driven, focused on what can drive continuous improvements to address key pain points in a business.
This position is for someone who enjoys working on several projects at once and can thrive in a creative environment. We do not believe one-size-fits-all we and approach each client as a new project. We operate in the belief that there is always more to learn and will push this role to spend several hours every week learning new skills that can be applied throughout current responsibilities and future, personal goals
Performance Objectives
Maintaining strong relationships with current clients through meetings on current work, ideation, touch bases, and providing recommendations
Data analytics into client's data to understand opportunities for improvements and create actions for continued progress
Searching for or creating data where it is not organized today. This will require knowledge of database architecture and methods of reading big data in a simple way
Evaluating the functionality and success of previously implemented solutions
Brainstorming with others at The Millson Group to create project plans and actions relating to current projects
Travel to client's locations for meetings, time studies, and project reviews. Travel will be about once per month
Sales opportunities with new clients, including, but not limited to creating and giving presentations, reaching out to sales leads, and maintaining relationships with potential, future clients
Exploring future investment opportunities with high-growth clients
Maintaining current investments for continuous success

Semi-remote. HQ is in Memphis, TN. We will allow remote work with trips to Memphis, or the opportunity to live in Memphis with a relocation bonus. Either option will include remote work.

Necessary skills include
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a similar field
Understanding of supply chains and how they connect to the wider business operations
Proven portfolio of completed projects in process improvement, whether through internships, case studies, capstones, or any self-made projects
Background in process improvements, with a creative approach to solving business problems across supply chains, planning, manufacturing, warehousing, and data analytics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in project management and team management
Ability to create process flows of complex and interconnected processes throughout a business
Excellent Excel skills
A willingness and proven background in self-learning of new skills or coding languages
Preferred skills (or skills that you are willing to learn)
Coding in Python, VBA, or JavaScript
Ability to pull data from APIs
Experience in sales or marketing
